Collection: Protecting the mountains in northern Kyoto and nurturing the village! Woodcutter Village - Iguchi Timber

An ancient forest of cypress and cedar carefully passed down through generations in the northern part of Kyoto. We, Kyoto's Keihoku Kikori Village, are forestry professionals in northern Kyoto, and as such, we hope to pass on this forest to the coming generations. Currently, the majority of the wood products used in Japan are made by imported wood. Kyoto Keihoku Kikori Village works towards the conservation of mountains and the growth of villages by centralizing everything from mountain management and timber harvesting to processing and product development, thus promoting the use of domestic wood.
