This is the saucer-only version from the infini Demitasse series, designed to be paired freely with any of the modular demitasse cups. For examples of how to combine it with matching cups, please refer to images starting from the third photo.
The surface is divided into horizontal segments, each delicately hand-painted with traditional Japanese komon patterns in five auspicious colors. ✨ The finish is carefully crafted to reflect the deep black of the matching cup, resulting in a rich, dynamic contrast.
🏆 The infini Demitasse line was awarded the Young Artist Encouragement Prize at the 2020 National Traditional Craft Exhibition, recognizing both its craftsmanship and conceptual innovation.
☕ Although demitasse means “small cup” in French and is typically associated with espresso, the designer envisions these vessels as more than that. This saucer, for instance, can be used for serving desserts, small dishes, or even as a decorative accent in a modern table setting.
