✨ Product Overview
Crafted by master artisan Masashige Uenaka, this custom notebook cover applies the classic Kyoto hand-painted Yuzen dyeing technique to leather—transforming a daily accessory into a unique piece of wearable art. Each order is made according to your preferences in design, color, and motif.
🎨 What Makes It Special
Your design: You can request 柄 (motif), 色合い (color palette) and “feel” of the pattern—whether more traditional or modern style.
Unique process: Uenaka himself sketches the rough draft (小下絵), then drafts full-size design, transfers to leather and hand-paints every detail. Gold outline accents may also be added.
Material: Uses “タンロー” leather (veg-tan leather), which develops patina with use. Each cover will gain character over time. Small natural marks, veins, or wrinkles in the leather are embraced as part of its personality.
