A hands-on journey into Kyoto’s traditional artistry

Step into the world of Japanese craftsmanship and symbolism through a one-of-a-kind workshop led by renowned artisan Norikazu Kizawa

In this immersive experience, you will design and paint your own Japanese craft item—such as a chopstick rest, small plate, or decorative tray—inspired by seasonal motifs, nature, and traditional good-luck patterns. From graceful cranes and playful frogs, to floral patterns and komon designs, participants are free to bring their own imagination into each creation.

Receive hands-on instruction from Norikazu Kizawa, who has spent years mastering glass-based painting techniques

Choose from a variety of base items (e.g., chopstick rests, plates, mini trays) to craft your own

Use glass pigments, brushes, and stencils to create your design

Take home your completed work in a special gift box—a meaningful souvenir or heartfelt present
