Introducing Private Residence Nijōjō TOMO
Grand Opening: November 16, 2025
If you’re planning a trip to Kyoto and seeking a stay that blends comfort, privacy, and an unbeatable location, we’re delighted to introduce Private Residence Nijōjō TOMO, a brand-new accommodation opening in November 2025.
Situated directly in front of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Nijō Castle, this private residence is designed around a unique concept:
“A home where three generations - parents, children, and grandparents - can relax together under one roof.”
A Spacious 200㎡ Home for Up to 9 Guests
The entire residence is offered as a fully private rental, providing generous space and a sense of true exclusivity.
Four bedrooms
Up to 9 guests
Beds: 6 doubles, 1 semi-double, 2 singles
Ideal for large families, multi-generational trips, or groups of friends.
Large Bath & Sauna Designed for Sharing Moments
On the first floor, guests can enjoy a large communal-style bath and sauna, intentionally created so families can talk, relax, and “wash each other’s backs” a nod to the warmth of Japanese bathing culture.
A Soundproof Tatami Room with Karaoke (DAM)
One of the residence’s unique highlights is a soundproof Japanese-style room featuring DAM karaoke, where guests can sing, laugh, and enjoy time together - all while looking out toward Nijō Castle.
Spaces Thoughtfully Designed for Groups & Gatherings
With a castle-view bedroom, a spacious living room, and comfortable common areas across every floor, the property is crafted so that even larger groups can spend time together without feeling crowded.
Perfect for:
Trips with close friends
Celebratory stays and anniversaries
Small corporate retreats or team-building trips
Because the entire building is private, guests can relax freely without worrying about their surroundings.
A Place for Deepening Connections
Private Residence Nijōjō TOMO was designed not just as “a place to stay,” but as a space where family and friends naturally grow closer, creating shared memories in a home-like environment.
