【Made to Order】infini Demitasse Cup – 2020 Award-Winning Piece
☕ Made to order – please allow approximately 2 months for production
This is the cup-only version from the infini Demitasse collection, a modular series of cups and saucers that can be mixed and matched to your style. For examples of how to pair it with saucers, please refer to photos from the 4th image onward.
The design features a refined black porcelain base, hand-decorated with traditional komon patterns in radiant gold, elegantly detailed all the way to the handle. The surface beautifully reflects the paired saucer underneath, creating a rich visual harmony.
🏆 Originally created as an artistic exploration of function and form, this cup was honored with the Young Artist Encouragement Award at the 2020 National Traditional Craft Exhibition.
💡 The name “infini Demitasse” was inspired by the concept of infinite possibilities. While demitasse means "small cup" in French, traditionally used for espresso, the artist envisioned it as something more versatile. Why not enjoy black tea or Chinese tea with it? Why not use it as a dessert or tasting cup? In today’s world where function is fluid, this elegant piece encourages you to redefine how you use a cup each day.
With its modular design, the cup can be paired freely with different saucers, allowing the owner to play with colors and textures depending on the mood or occasion. Through this freedom, we invite you to explore new personal expressions in your tableware experience.
